CPS Trust - The History
The Cambridgeshire Police Shrievalty Trust is a registered charity formed in 1999 to improve community safety in the county.
The name of the Trust reflects the fact that two organisations were primarily responsible for its creation … Cambridgeshire Constabulary and The Office of High Sheriff.
Trustees are appointed on the basis that they are committed to the work of the Trust and they bring a range of local knowledge and experience.
The Trust continues to receive support from The Cambridgeshire Police Authority, Crime and Disorder Reduction Partnerships, Cambridgeshire Community Safety Team and many others including numerous private individuals. The work of the Trust is supported in other ways by Help the Aged, Age Concern and Victim Support.
The Trust has its own offices at Alconbury Airfield and a Trust Manager who will be pleased to provide further information, arrange visits or give presentations to interested groups or individuals.
