Welcome to Cambridgeshire Police Shrievalty Trust
The Cambridgeshire Police Shrievalty Trust is a registered charity formed in 1999 to improve community safety in the county.
The name of the Trust reflects the fact that two organisations were primarily responsible for its creation … Cambridgeshire Constabulary and The Office of High Sheriff.
The main objectives of the Charity are to promote for the public benefit, the prevention of crime and the protection of people and property from criminal acts and the advancement of education for the public benefit in all matters relating to crime prevention, road safety, alcohol, drug, solvent and other substance abuse or any matters affecting crime and safety in the community that improves the quality of life of communities.
These objectives are achieved by operating The Cambridgeshire Bobby Scheme and the Young Peoples Driving Centre.
Our Activities
Our activities fall into 3 distinct areas -
The Bobby Scheme
The Bobby Scheme provides a FREE service to victims of burglary aged 65 or more who live in the county. It also helps many older people who are not yet victims but who are at high risk or feel vulnerable, and asks for £20 towards its costs from this group. more »
The Driving Centre
Various programmes are run by the driving centre, including -
Programme 16 - to give youngsters a head start behind the wheel, even before they can hold a license.
The Skid Car - a 3 hour theory and practical experience, in our skid car.
Corporate Skills Training - for business drivers, to help them practice potentially life saving driving skills.
The Schools' Programme - a part-time, academic year course, to give a practical based introduction to cars, driving techniques, traffic & safety issues.

Alconbury Conference Centre
Our Conference Room seats up to 50 people, and is fully equipped with AV equipment, large screen projector, and a state of the art electronic voting system. Our Board Room seats up to 25 people. We have a fully equipped kitchen, and are able to offer a range of catering options.
